Google Docs is just another tool in your educators tool belt, this specific tool specializes in collaboration though, and the ability to edit the document with your colleagues at the same time is incredibly powerful once you understand how. In this video I reference other courses within pathways, like “Getting started with Google Drive,” and how you can store Word documents as well as Google Documents within Google Drive at the same time without any issues. So just because you have a new tool oh, Google Docs, doesn't mean you need to stop using Microsoft Word, it is just that this tool handles collaboration a little better than Microsoft Word and if you create a assignments using Google Docs oh, the process for the student to turn it in and grade it is fairly streamlined.
