Edpuzzle01 Edpuzzle Overview

Thank you for joining me in this course to learn how Edpuzzle can be integrated into your classroom, PreK-12. My name is Christine Danhoff and I am the PreK-12 Technology Integration Specialist at Genoa Area Local Schools in Genoa, Ohio. I'll be sharing with you resources and ideas of how you can get started with and utilizing Edpuzzle in your classroom. My goals for you by the end of this course is that you will be able to demonstrate your understanding and ability to incorporate video into your lessons using Edpuzzle, set up and create classes with students, find, edit, and assign videos, view student data and gradebook, as well as practice and explore advanced features.

Before we begin, I would like to explain WHAT Edpuzzle is and WHY it can be beneficial to you and your students.

WHAT is Edpuzzle?

Edpuzzle is a platform that allows you to create video lessons from ANY video. Students watch the video, while answering questions, to demonstrate their learning. You will be able to view their progress, collect data, and choose if you would like them to rewatch the video.

WHY use Edpuzzle?

Edpuzzle is a great option for formative assessment as well as student creation. It provides student accountability for the videos they are watching, all while providing necessary feedback and data educators need to drive instruction. Students can also complete projects where they find or create their own videos and add questions to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the content. If you are looking for another way for students to demonstrate their learning, check out Edpuzzle!
